I've been silent on here lately. Sadly, no news is not always good news. I'm injured.

The last long run I did before Barb's Race was a slow, hot 12-miler. On my way home I noticed a bruised feeling in my left foot. I iced it and proceeded to ignore it, despite a little pain during the race. When, a week after the race, it still hurt to run, I decided to get myself checked out. I've been attending PT for three weeks, but the foot is starting to worsen instead of improve. Currently the doctor is trying to determine whether there's a stress fracture.

While I await imaging results, I continue not to run. It's hard to ignore that I haven't run in three weeks when my next marathon is less than eight weeks away.
